These interviews are typically run by the judge who the clerk will be working for. Judges are looking for someone who suits the position, as well as someone that they would like to work with personally.

How to Prepare:

• Check the Deadlines!!! Clerkship deadlines are earlier then almost all other articling opportunities!
• Read about the Court you are applying for and the programs/opportunities they offer. Court websites are very helpful. You may be expected to explain your knowledge of what the Court does and the type of cases they handle.
• Find out which judges are interviewing for clerks and read some of their past judgments and bios.
• Be up to date with current events & recent issues that have faced the courts.
