The 4th Annual Canadian Learning Commons Conference| Invitation to Participate... | Invitation to Participate Submission Form (.doc) |
In the spirit of Open Access Learning, we invite CLCC attendees to participate not only as learners but also as teachers/facilitators/presenters. We are offering opportunities for you to share and showcase your innovations, tips and tricks, and creative ideas in one of the following ways:
"Speed UpDating" Roundtable Sessions on any Learning Commons Topic
What's new in your Learning Commons? What are the hot topics or burning issues at your institution?
Has the economic downturn had an impact on your Learning Commons planning and services? We want you to
suggest topics that will inspire, educate, and provide opportunities to learn from each other.
Suggest a topic and you get to lead an invigorating roundtable discussion. Topics should be
manageable in a 10-15 minute time frame. There will be an hour of Speed UpDating sessions
offered each day.
Pecha Kucha Sessions on Learning Technologies
Pecha Kucha is a fun and lively PowerPoint presentation format that is brief, focused,
and informal, allowing a number of presentations to take place in a one hour time slot.
Each presentation will be no more than 5 minutes long with no more than 20 slides.
Presenters may talk about creative and innovative initiatives related to learning technologies.
Slides are automatically advanced every 15 seconds. There will be time at the end of a set of
the presentations for questions and general discussion.
Poster Presentations on Open Access Learning Topics
Have you or your institution been doing anything interesting to foster an open access
learning environment? Whether it is open scholarship, course content, learning objects
or shared programming, here is an opportunity to showcase your open access learning
research and innovations via a poster presentation. Conference attendees will have
the opportunity to vote for their favorite poster presentations, and the winner
will take away a prize.
