CAREFUL ! You don't have to be chemist, but you have to pay some
attention to chemistry.
The strength of the acid is not the entire matter. (Acetic acid is conisered
a "weak" acid as it does not ionize as strongly as Hydrochloric or
Nitric...also sulphuric is a very strong dehydrator. The chemical reactions
that take place with an acid depend upon the type of acid... simple examples:
Mix lye (Sodium Hydroxide) with Hydrochloric and you get Sodium Chloride
(table salt),, mix it with sulphuric and you get Sodium Sulfate etc., etc.
If you are using an acid JUST to get an acidic solution then any will work,
but that's not rarely the case. And depending upon what else is in the
witche's (or wizard's) brew, might get undesired results.
(BTW mix concentrated sulphuric with concentrated nitric and soak
paper...cellulose..in it, wash well and you have "flash paper"...gun
cotton...can do some real old fahioned flash photography... :-)
