There's a good article in the most recent New Yorker about Julia
Margaret Cameron and all the toxic chemicals she worked with,
apparently without knowing they were toxic. Her career as a
photographer only lasted ten years, because she died. Just think how
many more naked cherubs we would have from her opus, if only she had
used proper ventilation and safety precautions.
