Funding Opportunity:
Canada/UK University Partnerships Program (CUUPP)
Funder:
Foundation for Canadian Studies in the United Kingdom & Canadian High Commission London
The objective
is to encourage and support the initiation, development and diversification of
institutional partnerships between British and Canadian Universities, in association
with government, the private sector and non-governmental organizations (NGOs)
in both Britain and Canada. Grants will only be made towards these (e.g. at the
departmental/faculty/whole institution levels), NOT simply for personal
collaboration between individual academics who happen to be based in
universities situated in Britain and Canada. The grants will be developmental
rather than sustaining. In other words, they are intended to initiate a new
partnership or develop/diversify an existing one.
Value: Up to £1,000
Grants from the
Foundation will be small and supplementary to other sources such as the
universities themselves. They will not normally exceed £1,000. The
Foundation will not normally cover more than a maximum of 50% of the overall costs
of a visit by a British university representative to Canada; or of a Canadian
to Britain.
