Special Initiative Request for Applications:
Team Grant in Cystic Fibrosis Research
(CLONAL PSEUDOMONAS AERUGINOSA)
Cystic Fibrosis Canada is pleased to announce a new Request for Applications (RFA) to support a team-based research initiative towards understanding the extent of clonal Pseudomonas aeruginosa colonization in Canadian patients with cystic fibrosis.
The purpose of the P. aeruginosa Team Grant program is to support a CF research team conducting high-quality collaborative research that will lead to an enhanced understanding of clonal Pseudomonas aeruginosa and have the potential to shape Cystic Fibrosis Canada’s infection control policies and practices. Cystic Fibrosis Canada intends to commit up to $170,000 in total to support one research team grant. The anticipated grant start date is January 1, 2012. The application process is comprised of two steps: 1) a notice-of-intent to apply and 2) the full application. The registration deadline for the notice-of-intent is June 30, 2011. The deadline for submission of the full application is October 1, 2011.
