The Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council
(SSHRC) in partnership with the Official Languages Support Programs
Branch of the Department of Canadian Heritage wishes to inform all
CAURA members of the launch of a new joint initiative entitled Official Languages Research and
Dissemination Program. There will be four funding mechanisms:
research grants; conferences; workshops; virtual scholars.
This program has the following
objectives:
- To promote
research in areas of critical importance to official language policy and
practice; and
- To provide support
to ensure that relevant research results are effectively communicated and
appropriately applied.
Application deadline - January 14,
2005.
Please note that the Web-based application form for this
program will be available at the beginning of December. We will let you
know when it is posted on the SSHRC Web site.
