Webinar – SSHRC Insight Grant Funding Opportunity

(Note: this is a repeat presentation of the webinars of August 3 and 4, 2011)

With Jean-François Fortin (Director) and Patricia Emery (Program Officer), Research Portfolio, Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council

The webinars are scheduled for the following dates and times (eastern time):

Monday, September 12, 2011:             12pm to 2pm eastern time (English)

Tuesday, September 13, 2011:            12pm to 2pm eastern time (French)

In order to create a simpler, more flexible and effective system of application and assessment, the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) is in the process of implementing its new umbrella programs, Talent, Insight and Connection. Under this new program architecture, SSHRC’s Research Portfolio recently launched the new Insight Grants funding opportunity. Insight Grants will take the place of the Standard Research Grants and several of SSHRC’s former strategic grants. The application deadline for the first competition under the Insight Grants is October 15, 2011.

In order to inform the community about this new funding opportunity, representatives of SSHRC’s Research Portfolio will be holding webinars for CAURA and ADARUQ members.

These webinars will focus on the features of the new Insight Grants, and will offer advice on how to prepare an application. They will also provide a chance for participants to ask questions regarding SSHRC’s newest funding opportunity.

Please submit your questions by text at any time during the presentation via the Q&A interface. The presenters will answer as many questions as possible during the Q&A period.

For technical questions, please contact Denis.Croteau@sshrc-crsh.gc.ca .
