Canada-Latin America and the Caribbean Research Exchange Grants (LACREG) due Oct. 6
Purpose:
The Canada-Latin America and the Caribbean Research Exchange Grants program (LACREG) is designed to strengthen international partnerships and consolidate emerging networks among academic researchers
from Canada and Latin America and the Caribbean. Its purpose is to support small collaborative research activities which will contribute to the creation, dissemination and sustained application of knowledge in the development process in at least one area of
the International Development Research Centre’s thematic priority.
• agriculture and the environment;
• science, technology, and innovation;
• social and economic policy; and
• health and health systems.
Eligibility:
Applicants from Canada and the following Latin American and Caribbean countries: Argentina, Barbados, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El
Salvador, Guatemala, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, Trinidad and Tobago, and Venezuela.
Value:
The maximum value of each grant will be
$15,000 Cdn. Support through this program will be cost-shared on a 2:1 ratio by the program and the partner institutions, respectively.
It is anticipated that at least
15 grants will be awarded.
