This is just a reminder that there will be a campus-wide Scientist Knowledge Translation Training (SKTT™) Workshop on
Dec. 5th & 6th, 2011 at the Graduate Student Association Commons on College Drive.
This two-day, practice-oriented course, initially developed at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, allows participants to develop a fundamental skill set and competencies around
creating and implementing a KT plan that can help generate research impact, promote research utilization, and ensure that research findings reach the appropriate audiences. The course instructors are Melanie Barwick, Ph.D., C.Psych and Donna Lockett,
Ph.D.
The training course registration is $200. Registration is
limited to 50 participants.
Participants are welcome to attend from any college. Please RSVP to
elise.painchaud@usask.ca by November 25th, 2011 at the latest if you wish to attend and fill out the attached registration form. I hope that you will be able to attend.

Course instructors
The course instructors are Melanie Barwick, Ph.D., C.Psych and Donna Lockett, Ph.D. Melanie Barwick, Ph.D., C.Psych., is a Registered Psychologist with a primary role as a Health Systems Scientist
in the Community Health Systems Resource Group at The Hospital for Sick Children. She is an Associate Scientist and inaugural Director of Knowledge Translation for the Child Health and Evaluative Sciences program of the Research Institute. She holds appointments
as Associate Professor in Psychiatry and Dalla Lana School of Public Health at the University of Toronto. Donna Lockett, Ph.D., is a knowledge broker and knowledge translation specialist, most recently for the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. Prior to
joining the SickKids team, Donna worked for the Community Health Research Team at the University of Ottawa as a senior research associate.
