With an annual membership of approximately one hundred singers, the popular University Chorus is a fine example of the community outreach program of the U of S Department of Music since 1965. The Chorus draws approximately half of its membership from the University student body, faculty, and staff, with the remainder consisting of community members from Saskatoon and surrounding area. Besides presenting concerts to Saskatoon audiences and occasionally collaborating with the Regina Philharmonic Chorus, the University Chorus regularly performs choral-orchestral masterworks with the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra such as the Requiems of Verdi, Mozart, Fauré, Duruflé, and Brahms, Haydn's Creation, Mendelssohn's Elijah, and Orff's Carmina Burana.
