2012 Summer Letter
2012 Registration Form
With an annual membership of approximately one hundred fifty singers, the popular University & Community Chorus has been a fine example of the community outreach program of the U of S Department of Music since 1965. The Chorus draws approximately half of its membership from the University student body, faculty, and staff, with the remainder consisting of adults from Saskatoon and community.
Besides presenting concerts to Saskatoon audiences and occasionally collaborating with the Regina Philharmonic Chorus, the University & Community Chorus regularly performs choral-orchestral master works with the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra such as the Requiems of Verdi, Mozart, Fauré, Duruflé, and Brahms, Haydn's Creation, Mendelssohn's Elijah, and Orff's Carmina Burana at TCU Place, and Third Avenue and Knox United Churches.
Graham Codling will continue to direct the University and Community Chorus
for the 2012-13 season. Mr. Codling completed his Masters Degree in Choral
Conducting and Music Education in 2012 and is also the conductor of the
Cecilian Singers. For further information, email gcodling@sasktel.net, or
contact him at 283-4902.
The University Chorus will present their Spring Concert at 3:00pm, Sunday, March 24 at Knox United Church. Tickets are $10.00 for seniors and students; $15.00 for adults; children 10 and under free, and are available at McNally Robinson, from any chorus member, or at the door.
