On Friday February 1, 2013, the University of Saskatchewan Department of Music will host the 4th Open House for Grade 11 and 12 music students and parents. This event will provide high school students the opportunity to meet the university music faculty and students, and learn more about the various ensembles, university life, and degree programs offered through the department. Students are urged to bring their instrument and participate in lessons/master classes with the theme of how to prepare for an audition or performance.

Open House Schedule is:

Meet in Room 1036, Department of Music, Education Building
10:30 am - Introductions, Meet the Faculty, Overview of the Department of Music, Power Point Presentation

11:15am - Tour Department/University Campus provided by university students

11:45am - Lunch – provided in room 1036

12:30pm - University Student Recital – Quance Theatre

1:30pm - Concurrent Sessions: group lessons, master classes, preparing for a music theory entrance exam

2:30pm - Question Period, University Student Panel, Door Prizes – Quance Theatre

3:00pm - Conclusion

- Optional – Students interested in auditioning for the Department of Music for fall 2013

7:30pm -Free Admittance to Wind Orchestra and Jazz Ensemble Concert in Quance Theatre
No Cost to Participate - this included all activities and lunch
