Dr. David Kaplan joined the U of S Department of Music in 1960 where he taught theory, music education, and world music for some forty years. A former Head of the department and conductor of the Saskatoon Symphony, Dr. Kaplan has traveled extensively worldwide building his collection of musical instruments. His compositions include works for winds, voice, chorus, concert band, orchestra, klezmer band, instrumental ensembles, and theatre.
