ROOM BOOKINGS Your first step in reserving space in Department classrooms and Quance Theatre is to consult the black notebook on the front counter of the Music Office. Department Classrooms: You may book department classrooms (1033, 1036, 1038) by signing your name in the timetable. Please be considerate and limit your bookings to an hour or two so everyone has a chance to use these rooms. Quance Theatre: Quance Theatre must be booked by the Office Staff. Fill out and submit a request form (available in the Music Office) at least a week in advance. The bottom part of the form will be returned to you, as a confirmation, on the Student Message Board or via email. (Also see: “Key Check-out”.) Please check the scheduling book carefully before making a request. Use of these facilities is controlled by the Campus Room Scheduling Office, and the office staff makes requests by e-mail. Turn-around time is usually a week; requests made less than a week in advance may not be processed in time. There is an established order of precedence for use of classrooms and Quance by Department faculty, staff and students. Be aware that, although it seldom occurs, you can be bumped. Quance is available only for ensemble rehearsals, recital preparation or taping. Keep in mind that Quance availability in the Winter term may be limited due to heavy demand, including use by other departments. Convocation Hall: The hall will be available to students for rehearsal for their 4th year recital only. Convocation Hall muisc be booked by the Office Staff. Similiar to the procedures for Quance Theatre bookings (see above). Access is limited so plan accordingly.
