Continuing Education and Development for Nurses
Continuing Education and Development for Nurses (CEDN) is pleased to offer continuing education opportunities for health sciences students and health professionals through the E-learning System. Various branches within The Ministry of Health work together with CEDN to identify topics that are most relevant to both health science students and health care professionals in Saskatchewan. Events are planned, coordinated and are delivered through education sites throughout the province – primarily regional colleges. Presentations, made by leading experts and researchers, are broadcast live from studios in either Saskatoon or Regina and sent out to all participating sites throughout Saskatchewan. Registrants at the sites can then "tune in" to the broadcast on the television at the site they are registered. All E-Learning events are free of charge and open to health sciences students and health professionals. Registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, nurse practitioners, continuing care aides, physicians, social workers, pharmacists, physiotherapists, nutritionists, occupational therapists, managers, administrators, educators, along with students studying in a wide array of health disciplines are all welcome to attend these events in sites throughout the province.
The objective of the program is to provide increased opportunities for continuing education for those working in healthcare or studying to become healthcare professionals while reducing continuing education barriers such as high registration fees and travel costs.
Planning for 2014-2015 is currenly in progress. We look forward to your participation.
