In this workshop for Nurses, participants will be able to describe and practice basic assessment skills, focusing on priorities of care in common emergencies, document findings and actions, initiate life saving measures independently (stabilize), prepare a patient for transfer, describe how he/she can prepare further for care of the emergency patient. Topics covered in this two day workshop include: preparation of the nurse and care unit - standards of care, multiple trauma assessment: documentation, respiratory emergencies, head, neck and spinal injuries, gastrointestinal, musculoskeletal, soft tissue emergencies, case studies, and stabilization and transport.

Payment will be processed before registration is guaranteed and pre-course materials are mailed.

DEADLINE for registration is 3 weeks prior to the date of the workshop.

The registration fee will be refunded, less an administration fee of $75.00 plus GST if:
Notification of cancellation is received 7 days prior to the date of the workshop, and course material is returned to CEDN.
NO REFUND will be made for cancellations received after the 7 days prior to the workshop.

Terms - Net 30 days from Invoice Date (late payment charges of 1.5% compounded monthly 19.6% yearly on unpaid balances)
