Marie is an Assistant Professor with the College of Nursing at the Regina site. She is a Registered Nurse with a BScN from the College of Nursing, University of Saskatchewan, a MBA from the Faculty of Administration, University of Regina, and a PhD from the Department of Community Health and Epidemiology, College of Medicine, University of Saskatchewan. Prior to embarking on her teaching career, Marie worked for many years as a public health nurse in rural Saskatchewan.
Marie's professional practice is focused in the area of public health and includes public health nursing education and practice, population and public health research, and knowledge translation and utilization to assist in the development of policies that promote health at individual, family, community and population health levels.
