International Practica Overview
International
clinical, or study abroad experiences are a good fit with the College
of Nursing and the University of Saskatchewan
internationalization goals, as well as with the NEPS curriculum framework.
Currently, there are several international study abroad opportunities for students in the 4th year senior practicum courses (NEPS 421 and NEPS 425), and in 3rd year of the new BSN Program (block clinical in Term 3 Spring for NURS 308.3 or NURS 331.3) though not all experiences are offered each year. Selection of students for these experiences is based on good academic standing, a letter of application, references, and an interview. It is strongly recommended that students planning to go to Africa take the International Health course, CH&EP 402.3, offered in Term 1 at the U of S.
