Nursing Education Program of Saskatchewan (NEPS)
Admission Requirements
The requirement for application is the completion of Grade 12 level standing (24 credits) or equivalent. A minimum overall average of 70% for the following five subjects is required. Depending on the number of applicants, the acceptance average may be higher than 70%.
The required subjects include:
- English A30
- English B30
- Biology 30
- Chemistry 30*
- any Mathematics 30
* Physics 30 is not acceptable as a replacement for Chemistry 30
In addition, applicants whose first language is not English must present evidence of proficiency in English.
Applicants should also be in good health. Before classes begin, students who are accepted for admission are required to submit an immunization
record to the University Student Health Centre.
Students are required to obtain a CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) Heartsaver "C" AED and Standard First Aid Certificate prior to commencement of the program or no later than the end of Term 1 in Year 1.
