The input of graduate students into College policies and procedures is valued and essential. Graduate students are represented on the College committees listed below. Students are encouraged to volunteer for these positions. Their role is to bring forward graduate student views to the committee, vote on issues as they arise, and communicate committee decisions and information back to the graduate student body.
Pharmacy, Nutrition and Interdisciplinary Studies students make significant contributions to the University and the College, and, in particular, to our research goal, which is
“To discover and apply knowledge in pharmaceutical and nutritional sciences and in clinical and community practice-based areas of pharmacy and nutrition – to improve the health of individuals and the delivery of health care in our respective disciplines.”
They bring new ideas, enthusiasm, expertise, and assistance to faculty in their research efforts. They enhance the undergraduate learning experience through the academic service they provide. They participate in College and University governance in roles on committees and planning special events such as the Life and Health Sciences Research Conference. They contribute to the diversity of the College, by sharing experiences from their home countries and provinces. And, they bring recognition to the University and the College through individual achievements, including national and local scholarships and awards.
