Linking Agriculture, Nutrition and Health Conference 2013

Nutrition is increasingly recognized as an important component of agriculture and food security research. The University of Saskatchewan and its partner institutions invited Canadian International Food Security Research Fund (CIFSRF) project teams and all those interested in the global food security initiative to the Linking Agriculture, Nutrition and Health conference, February 6-8, 2013.

The event brings to a successful conclusion the CIFSRF Call-1 Project: Improving Food Security in the Highlands of Ethiopia through Improved and Sustainable Agricultural Productivity and Human Nutrition and offers the opportunity to share the emerging results of the projects that have sought to incorporate nutrition objectives into agricultural interventions. This gathering will explore ways to synthesize the contribution of CIFSRF projects to nutritional outcomes and create a productive forum to explore nutrition linkages in agriculture and food security research.
