Part 1 -- Immunization Competencies Education Program

Registration:  This education program is available through Advancing Practice and is a CCCEP-accredited online program. Developed by the Canadian Pediatric Society in association with the Public Health Agency of Canada and Health Canada, the Immunization Competencies Education Program (ICEP) provides participants with an in-depth review of the Immunization Competencies for Health Professionals. The national consensus on the education and training required by immunization providers,  is a 14 module online program which has been CCCEP accredited for 19 CEUs.  Please download, complete, and send your registration form to the CPDP office.

*In keeping with SCP requirements, before attending Part 2, you will also be required to have a current First Aid/CPR with AED certificate.  Check with CPDP for opportunities to complete such a program independently through the University of Saskatchewan or the University of Regina.  Scroll down this page for more CPR details.
**If you are taking the CPR program through St. John's Ambulance, please enroll in the "CPR C" course (18 hours) or the "CPR C for Health Care Providers" course.  Either course satisfies the requirements.

Part 2 -- Theoretical and Practical in Administration of Injections:  A Course for Practicing Pharmacists

Upon successful completion of the on-line program, and possessing a First Aid/CPR with AED Certificate, pharmacists may register for the Part 2 CCCEP accredited five-hour live workshop, “Theoretical and Practical in Administration of Injections: A Course for Practicing Pharmacists.” In this interactive, hands-on workshop, pharmacists will learn the theory, and put into practice, the skills of administering intradermal, subcutaneous, and intramuscular injections. The practical session will be followed by both written and practical tests with a required passing score of 80%.
Note: To attend Part 2, you must complete Part 1 online in advance and have your current First Aid/CPR with AED, deadlines will be in place prior to attending the live component.

COST of the program: $475 plus GST ($514.50) (Note: cost for First Aid/CPR with AED program is not included; any cost will need to be paid directly to the program provider.)  An additional practice kit will be available for sale for $25 plus GST ($26.25).

CPDP is offering these classes in conjunction with the College of Kinesiology, please call the CPDP Office at 306-966-6350 first to reserve a place in the course.  A maximum of 18 people will be enrolled per course.  You will then be given contact information in order to register with the College of Kinesiology, with payment, to be enrolled.

phrm Natural Standard General Information Session
The use of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) has grown in response to efforts by patients to take a more ative role in their health care. Natural Standard was founded by clinicians and researchers to provide high quality, evidence-based information about CAM to professionals and consumers to help them make safe, educated decisions in this area. AsthmaTrec & COPDTrec Workshops
The Asthma/COPD training are continuing professional education programs. They are designed to train health care professionals in the skills and knowledge necessary to become effective Asthma/COPD educators.

2-Day Management Workshops fees are $500.00/participant ($900.00 for full 4-day workshops).
Workshop size is limited to 12 participants. IT IS Mandatory to register 6 WEEKS prior to the workshop.

Now you can continue your education with RespTrec videos on the RespTrec website. The RespTrec website now adds continuing education video presentations throughout the year. You are required to subscribe to access the videos, after viewing the video a test is written and a passing result earns education credits.
