The College based Continuing Pharmacy Education unit, was established July 31, 1995. The goal of this unit is to develop, deliver, and evaluate quality, reasonably priced, continuing professional education to meet the needs of the pharmacists of Saskatchewan in terms of maintaining competence to practice and fulfilling the SCP licensure requirements.

Announcement February 3rd, 2012 -- New CE Programs coming in Saskatoon: read all the details on our "Live CPD Events/Online Registration" page by scrolling down this page to the link of the same name, and click on it to go to that page.
Announcement November 9th, 2011 -- ECP Online Training - CPDP is now offering Emergency Contraceptive Pills (ECP) Training in the form of an On-line course, this course is optional. This course has been accredited for 3.0 CEUs and the fee is $100.00 + GST = $105.00. For full details, you may view the Program Objectives and/or to download the registration form in word or pdf format. If you do not have an NSID, you are required to fill out and fax the NSID application form in addition to the registration form. If you have any questions, please contact the CPDP office at 306-966-6350.
Prescriptive Authority for Pharmacists - Minor Ailments Online Course: This information from the live sessions is now available as a training session online. To register with payment, 1) fill in the registration section of the brochure, it is in PDF format, and then fax (966-6377) or mail it to the CPDP office. 2) You are also required to have an NSID in order to access this course; if you do NOT have one, please complete the NSID application form. This is required in order to assign you permission to access the course on the University's learning website. PLEASE NOTE: If you were a student who graduated in June 2010 or 2011 and have an NSID, you are required to complete the same NSID application form in order to have your NSID "re-activated" to include Blackboard Learn.
Information from the Minor Ailments Live sessions -- the literature: To access the the Guidelines, Algorithms and evaluation sheets for each of the 3 Minor Ailments that was presented at the Sunday Seminars in June, please go to the SDIS website, you will find them posted there.
Information about Prescriptive Authority for Pharmacists - Level I Training -- Basics: For full details please see the poster in word and pdf, and the Level 1 - Basics description, in word. The Implementation date of March 4th applies only to Level I Basics without Minor Ailments. Please read the following carefully --
*If you have NOT taken the course, please complete a course registration form, available in word and pdf. Once payment is received and your application is processed you will be enrolled in the program. Payment by credit card is available, please call the office to give credit card information over the phone, or fill in your number on the form and fax to the confidential fax number listed. Receipts will be sent out by email (unless otherwise requested), please be patient as this will take a few weeks.
**If you have attended the live seminars in 2009, 2010 or 2010 PAS Conference and do not have a NSID, please complete the NSID application form, this needs to be completed in order to assign you permission to access the course on the University website. This NSID code allows you log in to the Prescriptive Authority Course online and access the updated information. If you fall into this category OR were a student who graduated in June 2010 or 2011 and have an NSID, you are required to complete the same NSID application form in order to have your NSID "re-activated" to include Blackboard Learn.
CPDP will not be posting program handouts on the website. However, if you have attended a Live Continuing Education program and wish to receive the handouts, you may contact the CPDP office. Please be prepared to give your license number and the name and date of the program.
