TOPIC: DATA FOR CADRE INTERVALS

The importance of our extra-tropical to high latitude observatories participating in the CADRE campaigns was explained in the Nov. 1993 Newsletter. Dave Fritts has now called a meeting on CADRE at the Canadian GW Lake Louise meeting (March 22-26, 1994). It would be most helpful to us (Dave, Maura Hagan and I) if you could send me some of the required data (for months of Dec 1992, Jan 1993, Oct 1993):

1. Monthly means of mean winds and tides for each month

2. Any PW spectra to show activity and trends. Here we use monthly, but also 10d spectra (every 10 days); I will FAX our MLT (meteor and MF) observatories copies of those for your local comparisons.

3. Time series (hourly mean data for 3 hts 90-95 km for each month) in e-mail files to us would also be most appreciated, so that any dominant features in the PW spectrum could be assessed (modes). [the 2-d work has gone well using these, with Chris and Steve Franke doing most of the work.]

While you were in that data area, any specific Jan 20-30,1993(MLTCS-5) tides/means would be welcome; as would assessment of particle effects (Item C in the Nov Newsletter).

Thank you -- we need your help!
