Bachelor of Arts Honours (B.A. Honours) - Political Studies
Students interested in entering an Honours program should consult advisors in the department concerned before registering for their second year. Not more than 60 credit units of the courses comprising the B.A program may be in any one subject, and of the 120 credit units required for the B.A. degree, at least 66 credit units must be at the senior level. Application for admission to Honours is not considered until successful completion of at least 60 credit units with a Cumulative Weighted Average of at least 70% overall and at least 70% in the subject of Honours. Minor in Political Studies
Students may take courses leading to a Minor in Political Studies in conjunction with any Three-year, Four-year or Honours degree in any other subject area in the College of Arts & Science.

Requirements
- 21 credit units in political studies of which 6 credit units must be at the 300-level or higher.
400-Level Courses
400-level courses in political studies are avaliable to qualified students who have completed a minimum of 60 credit units at the university level. There is generally a high demand for these classes. To ensure that students majoring in programs which require one or more of these classes have the opportunity to register, all students must obtain permission from the department before their registration can be completed. Requests for permission may be made at department advising sessions, held annually in March and/or April, or by filling out a permission request form, avaliable in April and May in the department General office.
