The B.A. Prairie Studies is a unique program comprising of an inter-institutional collaboration with the University of Regina and First Nations University. It is designed to meet the requirements for a B.A. Four-year or Honours degree based on Program Type B in the College of Arts and Science. The program provides a general studies degree focusing on the people, culture and landscapes of the Canadian prairies. The program is also distinct in that it will offer students the opportunity to pursue either an on-site or a combination on-site/distance learning B.A. Courses are available through distance learning, on-line, or at one of the three sites (U of S, U of R and FNUC).

Completion of ARCH 112.3, ARCH116.3, ARCH 250.3; ANTH 111.3 and ECON 111.3 will provide greater choice of senior courses within the major.
Students interested in entering an Honours program should consult advisors in the department concerned before registering for their second year. Not more than 60 credit units of the courses comprising the B.A program may be in any one subject, and of the 120 credit units required for the B.A. degree, at least 66 credit units must be at the senior level. Application for admission to Honours is not considered until successful completion of at least 60 credit units with a Cumulative Weighted Average of at least 70% overall and at least 70% in the subject of Honours.
