A7 Electives Requirement (27 credit units)

Arts and Science courses, or those from other Colleges that have been approved for Arts and Science credit, to complete the requirements for 90 credit unit Three-year program. Of the 90 credit units required at least 42 must be at the 200-level or higher and no more than 42 in one subject.

Students in English programs may take courses in any department of the College of Arts & Science, but a knowledge of classical and biblical literature is especially useful. Students will also find useful complementary courses in the following subject areas: departments and programs: Art; Art History; Classical, Medieval & Renaissance Studies; Classics; Drama; French; German; History; Linguistics; Music; Native Studies; Philosophy; Religious Studies; Spanish; and Women's & Gender Studies.
