Philosophy, Science, and Technology - Minor

The Minor in Philosophy, Science, and Technology provides basic cross-disciplinary grounding in thought pertaining to the origins, nature, ethical dimensions, and social impact of science and technology.

The Minor average in Philosophy, Science, and Technology will be calculated using the grades earned in all courses eligible to be included in the Minor program requirements. Students must complete at least two-thirds of the program requirements (rounded to the nearest highest multiple of 3 credit units) using courses offered by the University of Saskatchewan to meet the Residency requirement.

The Minor may be completed in conjunction with any degree in another discipline, subject to the following conditions:

  • Students may receive recognition for only one of the Minor in Philosophy or the Minor in Philosophy, Science and Technology
  • The minor must include a minimum of 18 credit units of courses not used to satisfy the major requirements of the student’s degree.
