Recognition in Spanish
Requirements
An average of at least 62.5% is required in the courses taken for Recognition.
Choose 18 credit units of courses taught in Spanish
Courses may include:
- SPAN 114.3
- SPAN 117.3
Students with advanced standing who do not take the elementary language courses (SPAN 114.3, SPAN 117.3) may receive Recognition after completion of 12 credit units of courses taught in the target language.
Students registered in any of the following language courses should plan to attend weekly oral tutorials as scheduled in the online Course Offerings. A multi-media laboratory is also available on a library basis.

Students with a background in Spanish (including those who speak the language at home) are not permitted to take certain Spanish language courses. Full details on restrictions are noted with the Spanish course descriptions in the Course Descriptions section of the Course & Program Catalogue.
