Designed for students currently in the workforce who wish to upgrade their skills in the area of agricultural economics. Applicants to these programs will be individually assessed by the Graduate Coordinator.
Admission Requirements

- an average of 70 percent or better in the final two years of their undergraduate program
Degree Requirements

- GSR 961.0 if research involves human subjects
- GSR 962.0 if research involves animal subjects
- a minimum of 30 units - 18 Grad level and 12 Undergrad level
- must maintain an average of 70 percent or better while in these programs
- TOEFL required as per College of Graduate Studies and Research Regulations
Master of Agriculture (M.Agr.)
Designed for students currently in the workforce who wish to upgrade their skills in the area of agricultural economics.

Master of Science (M.Sc.)
Admission Requirements
- a recognized Bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics, economics, or a relevant field
- background training including training in mathematics, statistics, economic theory, and econometrics
- those students whose undergraduate training is in an area of specialization other than agricultural economics, economics, or a relevant field, are usually required to take about one year of additional training in agricultural economics at the undergraduate level

- remaining credit units (minimum 9 credit units) will be chosen based on the student's area of specialization. These courses must be approved by the student's advisory committee and the College of Graduate Studies and Research.
- courses may be taken outside the Department, but in an area related to the area of specialization. Courses are generally taken at the graduate level. However, one course may be at the senior undergraduate level on approval of the student's advisory committee.

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.)

- Master’s degree from a recognized university

These courses must be approved by the student's advisory committee and the College of Graduate Studies and Research. Courses may be taken outside the Department, but in an area related to the area of specialization.
