The Department of Educational Administration is actively involved in research relating to educational leadership, rural education, and school effectiveness.

Master's degrees may be obtained by the completion of an acceptable thesis or by the substitution of prescribed courses for the thesis. The course-based M.Ed. is intended to be a terminal degree and may not prepare students for further studies in this area. Interested students may acquire information about the various programs by writing to the Associate Dean, College of Education, or to the Head of the appropriate department:The department is actively involved in research relating to educational leadership, rural education, and school effectiveness.

The Department of Educational Administration has a regular Ph.D. program. Programs leading to the Ph.D. degree in other departments are available only to exceptional students on a special case basis. Prospective students should consult with the Head of the Department.
