Research is conducted in various disciplines of Mechanical Engineering which include: Applied Mechanics, Materials and Metallurgy, Manufacturing, Fluid and Thermal Sciences, Bio-engineering, Robotics,and Control Systems. Multidisciplinary studies are encouraged with the cooperation of other departments. Experimental, numerical, and theoretical investigations are carried out using a large number of research labs and computer systems.

Master of Engineering (M.Eng.)
Admission Requirements
- a degree, or equivalent, from a recognized college or university in a field related to Mechanical Engineering

Students must maintain continuous registration in the 992 course.

- GSR 961.0 if research involves human subjects
- GSR 962.0 if research involves animal subjects
- a minimum of 24 credit units, plus the 992 course.

Master of Science (M.Sc.)
