Vaccinology & Immunotherapeutics

This multidisciplinary program offers students the following three streams:
1) Vaccinology & Immunotherapeutics: Societal Issues. The research in this area will involve the complex social, health care, legal and ethical issues associated with vaccination and other immunotherapeutics. Students in this program will receive an M.A. or Ph.D.
2) Vaccinology & Immunotherapeutics: Design & Production. The research in this area will focus on the design and production of vaccines and other immunotherapeutics. Students in the program will receive an M.Sc. or Ph.D.
3) Vaccinology & Immunotherapeutics: Scientific Bases. The major focus of research in this area would be the science that underlies vaccines and other immunotherapeutics. Students in the program will
receive an M.Sc. or Ph.D.
Master of Arts (M.A.)
Admission Requirements- four-year honours degree, or equivalent, from a recognized college or university in an academic discipline relevant to the proposed field of study
- cumulative weighted average of 70% in the last 60 credit units of the undergraduate degree
- TOEFL score of 550 or an equivalent measure of English proficiency for non-English speaking students
- demonstrated ability for independent thought, advanced study, and research
Degree RequirementsStudents must maintain continuous registration in the 994 course.

- GSR 961.0 if research involves human subjects
- GSR 962.0 if research involves animal subjects
- students will be required to select a program of study in consultation with their major supervisor and Advisory Committee members
- at least 9 credit units of graduate courses including:
- VACC 801.3
- VACC 990.0
- VACC 994.0 thesis
Master of Science (M.Sc.)

- demonstrated ability for independent thought, advanced study, and research
