Newsletter Editorial Guidelines
The html framework of the newsletter is provided by Research Communications. It accommodates links to Web pages and e-mail addresses, as well as photos or other art as deemed appropriate. Research Communications provides the framework, as well as editing and distribution of the newsletter.
Content is created and submitted by the various OVPR units. Outside submissions are also welcome and will be considered for publication. Editorial authority and control for Research News rests with Research Communications.
Research Communications will provide support as appropriate. Examples include coordination, editing, and composition.
Items for the newsletter should generally be 75 to 100 words in length (plus headline) and should answer the 5 W’s – who, what, when, where, and why. Contact information should also be provided.
Photos are encouraged when available and appropriate. Research Communications will shoot photos on an ad hoc basis for OVPR contributors.
Additional details and supplementary information can be provided on the contributors’ websites and links provided.
Submissions should be made via e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org. All associated links for websites and e-mail should be included. Digital photos are also welcome. Questions about the newsletter should be addressed to Cameron Zimmer at 966-2427.
