Advice to Faculty Members
Once you have research results indicating some commercial application:
- sort out issues related to intellectual property (IP):
- ownership
- patentability
- possibility of infringement
- visit UST (University of Saskatchewan Technologies Inc.):
- pay a visit before you publish
- a preliminary U.S. patent application can be prepared in days
- decide whether to license or form a company
