Advanced Rodent Techniques

Description:  Students learn advanced techniques in mice and rats including oral gavaging, blood collection via the tail vein in rats and facial vein in mice and IV injection using the tail vein in mice.

Prerequisite:  Basic Rodent Handling and Introduction to Rodent Aesthesia (Parts 1 and 2); Students should also be very comfortable with handling rodents

Fees:  Faculty/Staff, Grad Students from U of S……………………….$  40.00 (Note: Fees are subsidized by the UCACS Education and Training Committee)

Number of Participants:  Minimum 4, Maximum 6

*Participants must bring a clean lab coat*
