Basic Surgical Skills - Part 1

Description:  Students learn surgical instrument identification and proper use, suture material properties and selection, suturing and basic surgical techniques.

Prerequisite:  Basic Rodent Handling, Introduction to Rodent Anaesthesia

Basic Surgical Skills- Part 2

Description:  Students learn surgical principles, sterilization methods, surgical preparation, gowning and gloving. Students practice all principles from Part 1 and 2 on a non-animal model.

Prerequisite: Basic Surgical Skills Part 1
