Research Services is responsible for the primary coordination, negotiation, and administration of research related contracts under the responsibility of the Office of the Vice-President Research for the University. The primary functions of the Contracts Unit are:

1. drafting and negotiating agreements
2. pre- and post-award support and administration
3. development of research policies, guidelines, and procedures
4. acting as the liaison between researchers, funding agencies, and other administrative units
5. providing information and acting as an educational resource to faculty, staff, students, funding agencies, and other administrative units
