NSERC John C. Polanyi Award

Description:This award recognizes and supports a university researcher, or team of researchers, whose work has led to a recent outstanding Canadian advance in any field of the natural sciences or engineering. The nominee's or team's work must demonstrate a high degree of significance, novelty and impact on the research community and Canadian society.

Open to any field of the natural sciences and engineering.
Eligibility:Researchers in Canadian universities and in government or corporate research laboratories whose research has been funded at least in part by NSERC are eligible to be nominated.
Value:The winning individual or team will receive a research grant of $250,000.
Application Procedures:Nomination packages must include several components including a letter of nomination, support documentation, contact information for potential external referees who are at arm's length from the research, and authorization from the institution. See website for details.
