NSERC Brockhouse Canada Prize for Interdisciplinary Research

Description:The Brockhouse Canada Prize for Interdisciplinary Research in Science and Engineering recognizes outstanding Canadian teams of researchers from different disciplines who have combined their expertise to produce achievements of outstanding international significance in the natural sciences and engineering in the last six years.

Eligibility:Interdisciplinary research teams with a majority of members working in Canadian universities or public or private organizations are eligible. At least one member of the team must hold an NSERC grant. See further guidelines on website.
Value:Team research grant of $250,000. Individuals received medals and certificates.
Application Procedures:No self-nominations. Any Canadian citizen may nominate. Nominations must include a description of the team's achievements in one or more of the following areas: contributions to knowledge; the use of existing knowledge to develop novel solutions to practical problems; leadership in the transfer of knowledge; and other relevant contributions. Nomination documentation must also describe the significance, novelty and impact of the achievements for which the team is being nominated.
