| Eligibility: | A nominee must: - be a citizen or permanent resident of Canada at the time of nomination; - be an active social sciences and humanities researcher; - hold or have held SSHRC funding; - be in good standing with SSHRC; - be affiliated with an institution eligible to administer SSHRC funds; - and if the recipient of an award, maintain affiliation with an institution eligible to administer SSHRC funds. |
| Value: | Gold Medal, plus $100,000. Gold Medal funds must be used within five years for research, knowledge mobilization or other research-related activities. A minimum of 10 per cent of the award must be used to promote the impact and outcomes of the recipient’s research achievements. |
| Application Procedures: | Institutions eligible to administer SSHRC funds may submit one nomination in a given year. |
