To give proper vacate notice as per your lease agreement, the lease holder must complete the proper documentation in person at the Residence Office located in room 128 Saskatchewan Hall.
Notice will not be accepted verbally, by phone or by email.
Tenant Termination of Lease: Before the Term expires, the Tenant may terminate this Lease Agreement on sixty (60) days written notice to the Landlord ("Normal Notice"). The Tenant will permit the Landlord to enter the Apartment to show it to prospective tenants during the sixty (60) days before the end of the Term. At its sole discretion, the Landlord may allow the Tenant to terminate this Lease Agreement on thirty (30) days written notice ("Short Notice) for purposes related to student placement (ex. Acceptance to a program in another university). In both the Normal Notice and/or, if the Landlord accepts the Short Notice, such notice will only be determined to be given on the 1st or 15th of each month by the Tenant and the thirty (30) day notice period will begin from only the 1st or 15th day, depending on when the notice was received by the Landlord. For example, if the Tenant provides notice on the 3rd day of the month, it will be deemed to be received on the 15th of that month. If the Tenant provides notice on the 21st day of the month, it will be deemed to be received on the 1st of the next month. The Tenant will be responsible for pro rated Rent in accordance with the date of the Notice. If the Landlord accepts the Short Notice, the Tenant will permit the Landlord to enter the Apartment to show it to prospective tenants during the period of time before the end of the Term.

The lease agreement is for an 8 month term and notice to vacate cannot be given.
