What should I bring?
Seager is fully furnished so you only need to bring linens, cooking
ware, and dishes. Many roommates decide to share a toaster, microwave
and rice cooker. In addition, many residents bring their own personal
fridge (4.5 cu.ft.) as sharing one fridge between six roommates can be
challenging.
Clothing: Saskatoon experiences four distinct seasons with temperatures ranging from 30C (86F) on the warmest summer days to -40C (-40F) on the coldest winter days. It is important to bring appropriate clothing for your time in Saskatoon. A long running joke in Saskatchewan is if you dont like the weather wait 10 minutes!
*The International Student and Study Abroad Centre hosts a winter clothing program for international students offering free coats mittens and outerwear!*

How do I set up a phone in our apartment?
The apartments
are equipped with one telephone line. It is very important that all six
people in the apartment discuss and agree on telephone usage,
particularly for long distance calling and bills. We recommend that the
telephone bill be put in the name of the person who is likely to make
the most long distance calls. We also recommend that agreements between
roommates be made in writing. It may also be helpful to have your own
cellular phone to avoid conflict. Phone service can be set up through Sasktel 1-800-SASKTEL (1-800-727-5835) or through Shaw Digital Phone (306) 664-2121.
The buildings are equipped with an enter phone system administered by Sasktel. Once your phone is connected, guests can call up to your apartment from the front entrance. You can speak with the individual calling you and permit or deny entrance from your apartment.
