SCPOR is a research unit that includes an eight-bed facility at Saskatoon City Hospital with medical personnel and management services to support researchers and their staff.
As Saskatchewan’s first-in-hospital clinical trials facility, it allows researchers to conduct their work in highly controlled conditions, with physician supervision and emergency response on-site.
For patients, SCPOR offers the chance to participate in clinical trials as a treatment option, secure in the knowledge that their choice is backed up by a rigorous scientific and ethical review process.
