U of S Summer Student Employment Program (USTEP)
Coordinated by the Student Employment & Career Centre, the USTEP program is for U of S departments only. USTEP acquires and disburses subsidy funding to faculty and departments of the University for the purposes of employing a student during the summer.
Service Canada and the Youth Employment Strategy Programs
Administered by the Human Resources and Development Canada (HRDC), The Youth Employment Strategy (YES) is the Government of Canada's commitment to help young people, particularly those facing barriers to employment, get the information and gain the skills, work experience and abilities they need to make a successful transition to the workplace.
On-campus employers should not apply to the SSW program; you should instead be going through USTEP.
Government of Saskatchewan Student Summer Works Program
Student Summer Works (SSW) is a summer program designed to connect students to quality part-time and full-time employment.
Western Economic Diversification Canada (WD)
The Canada-Saskatchewan Western Economic Partnership Agreement (WEPA) is a five-year, $50-million federal/provincial agreement designed to encourage economic development and growth in the Saskatchewan economy. Signed in September 2003, this agreement is administered through Western Economic Diversification Canada and Saskatchewan Industry and Resources.
