    President, USSU

David D'Eon is the 2017/18 President of the University of Saskatchewan Students' Union. He was born and raised in Saskatoon, and graduated from Walter Murray Collegiate Institute with a bilingual diploma in 2009. Now, David is in the fourth year of his political studies degree, with a minor in French. His focus is on political philosophy, with a focus on modern and post-modern analyses of fascism, capitalism, and liberalism. David began his involvement on campus as a volunteer at the USSU Women's Centre, and was President of the Political Studies Students' Association, representative for Arts and Science on Student Council, and a Student Member of Senate before becoming President of the USSU. He is a fervent advocate for community empowerment and ground-up leadership practices. He hopes to use his term in the USSU to enable grassroots student communities and activities, and to provide a unifying voice for the interests of students at the U of S.
