SENS Pandemic Planning

The School of Environment and Sustainability's primary responsibility is to maintain the health and safety of students, faculty and staff, while ensuring the continuity of the school's educational mission.  In conjunction with the University of Saskatchewan Crisis Operations Team, the school has developed an operational pandemic plan that will help guide our efforts in the event that the H1N1 pandemic situation escalates.

The University of Saskatchewan's pandemic preparedness approach, like that of many organizations, is tied to the decisions made by the World Health Organization (WHO). On a local level, the University of Saskatchewan acts in accordance with direction from public health authorities and works closely with the Saskatoon Health Region to monitor the status of the H1N1 flu virus.
