University of Saskatchewan

School of Environment and Sustainability

Welcome to the School of Environment and Sustainability! The school delivers master and doctoral level programs that emphasize the integrative nature of environmental challenges, the benefit of interdisciplinary understandings, and how sustainability is conceptualized and made operational across a range of topics.

The interdisciplinary structure of the school means faculty and students can build on and contribute to ongoing activities at the University of Saskatchewan including the newly renovated $9.6 million Toxicology Centre, the SENS-affiliated $30-million Global Institute for Water Security, the Saskatchewan Isotope Lab, and the Historical GIS Lab, while pursuing unique areas of research and investigation. The school within the University represents a culture that demonstrates excellence in research, teaching and scholarly work, respects multiple forms of knowledge, encourages debate, values partnerships with outside organizations and agencies, creates innovations in teaching and learning, and addresses issues of societal importance.
