Recruiting students is an ongoing, campus-wide endeavour. Undergraduate Recruitment attends and coordinates many recruitment functions throughout Canada and all over the world to attract the best students possible. Campus tours, online chats and admission counselling are available through Undergraduate Recruitment to visitors who are interested in attending the University of Saskatchewan. Experience and research tells us that friendly, accessible instructors are a key factor in choosing a university. We urge you to make student recruitment a priority. Many University of Saskatchewan instructors do this by participating in shadowing programs, mentor programs and spend-a-day initiatives that pair high school students with faculty and with first year students. Many Departments actively make high school visits, participate in education/career fairs and presentations and communicate on a continuing basis with prospective students by mail, e-mail and telephone.

One of our most exciting campus-wide initiatives is Experience US!, a two-day event held every fall that hosts more than three thousand high school students from all over the province. During this event, students have the opportunity to participate in over 75 different sessions put on by student services and every College on campus.

Student recruitment is everyone’s responsibility; please remember to plan recruitment events and to take recruitment material with you when attending conferences and while on sabbatical.
