College of Graduate Studies and Research
The College of Graduate Studies and Research (CGSR) offers a wide range of awards and scholarships to help students succeed in their programs. Visit the Scholarships and Awards page for information on what's available.
Students should also discuss additional opportunities that exist to apply for Tri-Council funding or other external awards with their supervisor.
School of Public HealthThere are graduate student awards sponsored by the School available for all four programs (MPH, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Vaccinology and Immunotherapeutics) once students have been admitted to their program. Awards are allocated by the respective Program Advisory Committees. The amount of funding available and value of each award varies annually. Once students have entered their program, they may apply to the director of their program for any funding available. Scholarships are usually awarded on the basis of academic merit.
Student Travel Awards
Students can receive a travel award once every 12 months, once plans for travel including event, budget and date have been agreed with their supervisor. Students will need to review the Student Travel Awards guidelines to learn more about the funding available.
Students are encouraged to apply for U of S central funding prior to requesting funds from the School.
